Honest comparison

DealerVLO vs. Lot Wizard

What's actually different — and what stays the same — when you move your used-car lot off Lot Wizard. Written by a dealer who made the switch on his own lot.

Why dealers move

No dongle, no Windows install

DealerVLO runs in the browser. Your phone is a workstation. Your laptop dies, you grab any device and keep selling.

Forms that actually fill themselves

Every Bill of Sale, Buyers Guide, Odometer Disclosure, and MA RMV-1 populates from the deal — no re-typing, no copy-paste, no "wait, the integration doesn't work today."

Your dealer website is included

Every car on the lot is live on a public site at your domain the moment you add it. No separate vendor, no separate plugin, no monthly fee for the website on top of the DMS.

Feature comparison

Lot Wizard pricing reflects publicly-listed tiers as of 2026. Both products evolve — your actual quote may vary.

Common questions

Does DealerVLO support the same forms as Lot Wizard?+

Yes. Bill of Sale, FTC Buyers Guide, Federal Odometer Disclosure, and the MA RMV-1 + Damage Disclosure all generate from the deal data. We're adding states based on dealer demand — Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, and Florida are next.

Do I have to re-type all my customers and inventory?+

Customers: just the ones with active deals. You don't need to backfill historical buyers. Inventory: paste VINs and the form fills itself from NHTSA — a 30-vehicle lot takes about an hour. A CSV import for Lot Wizard data is on the roadmap.

What if my internet goes out?+

You can't access deals or generate documents until it's back. This is the main tradeoff for a cloud-based DMS. For most dealers a phone hotspot is enough of a backup; for high-uptime needs, Lot Wizard's local-install model is still the safer choice.

Is there a contract or setup fee?+

No. $19/month flat, cancel any time. The 14-day trial requires no credit card. Your data exports any time.
